About Us

About Employease and our employment lawyers

Employease was set up in 1994 by Julie Calleux and Amanda Galashan. Employease has provided expert advice in employment law since 1994. Our employment lawyers advise employers and employees on all aspects of complex and rapidly changing UK and EU employment legislation. Our business clients are in a variety of sectors. The majority of our individual clients are middle to senior management, though we welcome enquiries from everyone. Employease is based in London and in Scotland.

We help our clients plan and implement strategic solutions to staff problems. We will talk you through contentious and non contentious options and help you to achieve the most appropriate outcome in your circumstances.

Employease takes pride in its forthright, honest approach. We use straightforward language to demystify legal jargon. We respond quickly and efficiently to protect our clients’ interests. We are clear and open with our charging policy.

Employease is not a solicitor’s practice and we are not regulated by the Law Society of Scotland or of England and Wales. As UK employment tribunal work is not restricted, we decided from the outset that operating under a consultancy rather than a solicitor’s practice would give us more flexibility in the way we could solve our client’s problems. We are able to represent clients in tribunals and have a successful record of defending both individuals and employers. However, as legal fees are rarely awarded in tribunals, most of our cases settle before the tribunal stage. Our priority is to resolve our clients’ issues as fast as possible and in the most cost effective way.
